PAST Verb "TO BE"
The simple past of the verb "To be" (to be) is formed by changing the forms "am" and "is" to "was" and how "are" to "were".
Moreover, to form negative and interrogative form is the same as in the present simple.
Then we will see the interrogative and negative of the verb "to be" in past affirmative forms:
Affirmative:
I was: I was or I was.
You were: you were or you were.
He was: he was or he was.
She was: she was or she was.
It was: it was or it was.
We were: us were or we were.
You were: ye were or you were.
They Were: they were or they were.
Negative:
I was not: I was not or was not.
